Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information handled by StoneMap when you browse, create an account, apply as a supplier or use search and inquiry features.

1. About this policy

StoneMap operates this website and handles the personal information described in this policy.

This policy covers the StoneMap website and its user and supplier features. You can contact the StoneMap team using the email address at the end of this page. External suppliers, messaging services and websites have their own privacy practices.

2. Information we handle

The information handled depends on the features you use. Some comes from you, some is recorded when you use the service, and supplier information can also be entered by StoneMap administrators.

  • Account information: your account identifier, name if provided, email address or phone number, authentication and verification information, and saved materials.
  • Supplier information: company and contact names, business email, phone and WhatsApp numbers, governorate, district, location, map link, branding, listing details and uploaded photographs.
  • Inquiries: the supplier and material selected, requested quantity, your optional note, an inquiry reference, page information and a browser identifier.
  • Usage information: search text and filters, result counts, supplier profile views, clicks on contact or map links, browser identifiers and visual search allowance records.
  • Images submitted for visual search or crop suggestions, and information you provide when contacting support. Hosting and authentication services may also process technical connection and security logs.

3. How we use information

We use account information to authenticate you, verify contact details and provide saved materials and account features. Supplier information is used to review applications, manage profiles and publish listings. Inquiry information supports the inquiry record and prepares your message to a supplier.

Search and activity information helps us understand material demand, measure listing engagement and improve discovery. Browser and account identifiers also help apply visual search allowances and protect the service against misuse. Information sent to support is used to respond to your request.

4. Public information and sharing

Approved, active supplier profiles and published listings display business information, contact numbers, location information, logos and product images publicly. Provide business details that you are comfortable making public. A phone number linked only for account login is separate from the business contact fields on a supplier profile.

StoneMap administrators can access information needed to operate the service. Suppliers can access inquiry information for their listings and engagement statistics provided through their dashboard. Messages you choose to send through WhatsApp also disclose your message and WhatsApp contact information to the recipient.

Service providers process information needed to operate hosting, authentication, storage, message delivery and image search. Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law.

5. Service providers and image search

StoneMap uses Supabase for authentication, database and file storage. When WhatsApp verification is enabled, the verification provider and WhatsApp process the phone number and verification message needed for delivery.

Visual search sends the image you submit to Google's Gemini service to compare material appearances. When smart crop suggestions are enabled, the submitted image is also sent to OpenAI. These providers may retain or use information according to the applicable service terms and account settings. Do not upload sensitive personal information, private documents or photographs of people for material searches.

These services may process information outside your country. Provider processing, retention and transfer arrangements depend on the services and settings in use. The provider documents below explain their practices; they do not replace this StoneMap policy.

6. Cookies and browser storage

StoneMap stores your sign-in session in browser storage to keep you signed in. A separate browser identifier is stored for search, inquiry and engagement activity. Temporary browser storage helps avoid repeatedly counting a supplier profile view.

Guest visual search uses a cookie to identify the browser for search allowances. That cookie is set with a maximum lifetime of one year. Other locally stored identifiers remain until the relevant browser data is cleared. Clearing storage may sign you out or affect features. Cookie expiry does not itself delete records stored by StoneMap.

7. Storage and retention

Account, supplier, saved material, inquiry and activity records are stored to support the features described above. StoneMap does not currently apply a fixed automatic deletion period to these records. Contact us to request deletion or account closure. Any legal retention requirements, backups and provider retention arrangements must also be considered when handling a request.

Visual search images are sent for analysis rather than published as supplier photographs. Provider processing and retention are governed by their applicable terms. Signing out or clearing browser storage does not delete your account or other stored records.

8. Your choices and requests

You can browse public materials without an account, remove saved materials, and use available account or supplier settings to update information. Some features require an account, supplier approval or verification. You decide whether to upload a search image or send a message to a supplier.

Contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of your information, or to raise a concern about its use. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Available legal rights and any limits on a request depend on the applicable law. The signup notice acknowledges this policy; it is not a separate marketing opt-in.

9. Updates and contact

Changes to this policy will be published here with a revised date. Contact the StoneMap team with privacy questions or requests using the email address below. Avoid including passwords or verification codes in your message.
